How a transfer works
Unlock and get the code
At your current registrar, switch off the transfer lock and ask for the transfer (EPP / auth) code.
Order the transfer
Enter the domain and code above and complete the order. The price includes one more year of registration.
Approve and relax
Approve the confirmation email if one arrives. Most transfers finish within 5–7 days and we email you when it is done.

Transfer questions
Will my website or email stop working?
No. The nameservers stay the same during the transfer, so your website and email keep working. You can change them afterwards if you like.
Why can't I transfer my domain?
Registries block transfers for 60 days after a registration, a previous transfer or an owner change. The domain must also be unlocked at the current registrar.
Do I lose the time I already paid for?
No. The remaining time moves with the domain and one year is added on top.
